1. To Make a Booking
Please telephone us on 01904 607354 to check the log cabin you require is available for your chosen dates. You can either pay by debit/credit card over the telephone. Debit cards are free; there is a 3% charge for credit cards. Please note: We no longer accept cheques. The person booking the cabin must be part of the party staying in the cabin and use a card in their own name, we do not accept bookings from 3rd parties, proof of address/id will be required on arrival.
2. Confirming Your Booking
A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking. If however you book within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday, payment is required in full. Your booking will be confirmed by email. You must be over 18 years old to make a booking. We do not accept bookings from adult groups under 25 years old. This does not apply to a couple looking to book for just themselves.
3. Balance Payment
The balance of your holiday is due at least 6 weeks prior to commencement. This is by telephoning your debit/credit card details to us on 01904 607354. Non payment of the final balance when it becomes due will result in cancellation of the holiday and forfeiture of the deposit payment.
4. Holiday Cost
The prices quoted on our website are for 3, 4 7 or 14 nights accommodation from the changeover day, Monday or Friday and are for the maximum number of persons. Saturday start is available for 7 or 14 night stays. Prices include, electricity, central heating, bedding (not travel cots) towels & tea towels.
Your holiday group must not exceed the maximum number of people the property will sleep, as detailed on the website. (Unless previously agreed with the site owners). If your party does exceed the maximum without prior consent, the park owners reserve the right to refuse entry and your holiday will be treated as cancelled by you and you will not be entitled to a refund of monies paid or compensation. Day visitors are welcome (except during Christmas and New Year) however there is a charge of £5.00 per day for each visitor, all visitors must leave by 9pm. All visitors must be advised at the beginning of your stay.
We do not accept pets of any kind, if you arrive with a pet you will be refused entry and your holiday will be regarded as cancelled by you, with no refund of monies paid or compensation. Visitors who arrive with pets will not be allowed in. Guests found with a pet will be asked to leave immediately and your holiday will be regarded as cancelled by you.
7. Travel Cots
We are able to offer travel cots for hire, these must be reserved when your booking is made, a hire fee of £10.00 per week/or part of is made for each cot. We do not provide linen for the cots.
8. High Chairs
We are able to offer high chairs for hire, these must be reserved when your booking is made, a hire fee of £10.00 per week/part of is made for each high chair.
9. Arrival/Departure Times
Your log cabin is available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am. on the day of departure. For arrivals after 7pm, please make arrangements with the site owners. Please do not arrive before the appointed time, as your cabin may not be fully serviced. Late departure (without prior consent) may result in an additional charge being made.
Parking is available next to the log cabin for your vehicle. Please do not park on the grass.
11. Care of our Log Cabins
Our Log cabins are brand new and extremely well cared for, we ask that you treat our log cabins with respect and leave them in a clean and tidy condition. Any breakages/damages should be reported to the park owners as soon as possible so that we can fix or replace items before the next guests arrive. Any damages caused through neglect will be charged for and you will be contacted within 72 hours of departure if this is the case.
Any complaints you have about your accommodation should be reported to the owners as soon as possible in order that we can remedy any problems.
13. Access to the Property
There may be occasions when we need to gain access to the property without prior knowledge. i.e. to carry out repairs, or in cases of emergency.
14. Alternative Accommodation
In the unlikely event that the accommodation you have booked is not available, we will offer you accommodation of a similar nature. If this is unacceptable we will offer a full refund of any monies paid, but no compensation.
15. Holiday Cancellation
In booking this accommodation you are entering into a legally binding contract. However should you need to cancel our policy is as follows: Any cancellation will result in the loss of your deposit. Cancellations 4 weeks prior to arrival weeks will result in 100% loss of balance paid. However, if we are able to re book your accommodation we will happily offer a refund..
16. Cancellation By Us
In extreme circumstances we may have to cancel your booking. If we do so we will tell you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative or a full refund. We regret we cannot pay compensation or meet any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.
17. Unreasonable Behaviour
We the park owners reserve the right to terminate a holiday after the handover of keys, if the unreasonable behaviour of any one in the holiday party, is likely to impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests or members of staff. In these circumstances no refund will be given.
18. Large Groups
Group/party bookings. The organiser or party leader is responsible for providing the party details. Should you arrive at the park without notifying us of the required details, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the accommodation. You will be asked to pay a security deposit at the time of arrival. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT STAG PARTIES OR GROUPS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE.
19. Your Vehicles
Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. We the park owners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than the negligence of the owners of Herrington Park.
20. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the property; this means you must keep the furnishings and fittings inside and outside the property in a comparable state of repair and condition as at the beginning of the holiday. You are expected to show due consideration for other guests, not to abuse the property or display rude, offensive or dangerous behaviour to the owners, or any other third party. Any breach may result in the termination of your holiday with no refund due and no compensation paid.
21. Force Majeure
We the owners of Herrington Park can accept no responsibility or pay compensation for any circumstances that arise due to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we the owners could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be repaired before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
Except where otherwise specified in these booking conditions, we the owners of Herrington Park accept no liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) from any cause whatsoever other than, in the case of the owner (s) the proven negligence of him/herself.
23. Data Protection
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, representatives of Herrington Park will collect certain personal details, including your name, address, telephone number and debit/credit card details. These details will only be passed to your Credit Card Company or bank. We will not pass your details on to any marketing companies whatsoever.
24. Hot Tubs
Strictly no glasses or glass bottles to be taken into the hot tub. Children should be supervised at all times. No standing or jumping into the hot tub, any damage to the hot tub must be reported to the owners as soon as possible. Please ensure the lid is replaced after use and the chlorine dispenser is put back into the water. Do not use the hot tub whilst under the influence of alcohol, please read the safety notice beside the hot tub. Use of the hot tub is entirely at your own risk. Maximum number of people allowed in the hot tub is 6. Hot tub can't be used between Midnight and 7am.
Our log cabins are strictly no smoking, anyone wishing to smoke must do so outside away from `any open doors or windows. There is a £200.00 charge for smoking inside the cabin.
26. Damage Deposit
A card swipe will be taken on arrival in the sum of £200.00 this is not processed unless there is any damage and/or excessive cleaning and/or smoking inside the cabin. Excessive cleaning charges are £12.50 per hour. BBQ's are available, however they must be returned in a clean condition, there is a charge of £10.00 for bbq's returned that have not been cleaned. Alternatively you are quite welcome to bring your own bbq. Unauthorised over occupancy of the cabin is charged at £100 per person per night.
27. Special Requests.
Whilst we make every effort to grant special requests, there may be times when this is not possible.
Strictly no fireworks to be let off on the Herrington Park site.
All barbecues disposal or otherwise to be used well away from the cabin and the wooden deck and disposal barbecues must not be used on the grass.
